Strawberry Lounger
This design came about when I wanted to make a sofa for myself. I was tired of uncomfortable, unwashable and over-priced furniture. But it is more than a couch. It serves double duty as a bed too. Let’s just call it a day-bed.
This sofa is made from a minimal amount of canadian lumber. The firm foam cushions are made in Vancouver, and the covers are custom sewn in Nanaimo. So comfortable to sit on, and a furniture alternative as local as possible.
The entire piece comes apart and is a cinch to move, and any single piece can be easily replaced as needed. It is a shame to imagine how many old couches end up at the landfill. This is a peice of furniture made to last. And the best part is all the covers zip off and are washable.

mmm, strawberries
